Background and Personal Statement:

My name is Lacey Krchnak, and I’m honored to officially introduce myself as your new Emergency Room Manager and Trauma Coordinator. In addition to this role. I will also be overseeing employee health records and working as a Nurse Practitioner two days a week (Wednesdays and Fridays) at Rice Medical Associates.

A bit about my background—I'm a proud Sealy native, born and raised, and still call it home today. I graduated from Sealy High School in 2009 and spent my first year of college playing volleyball before choosing to fully focus on my academic path. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sam Houston State University in 2014, and soon after, began my nursing career at St. Joseph Health Grimes Hospital in Navasota, TX.

I started on the medical floor caring for lower acuity medical patients and skilled nursing patients, before transitioning into the ER, where I worked as a staff nurse for five years. I was later promoted to House Supervisor and then to a multi-role leadership position that included ER Manager, Trauma Coordinator, Stroke Coordinator, and Emergency Management Coordinator. During that time, I pursued my graduate studies at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, earning my Master of Science in Nursing in 2022. I am a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) credentialed through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.

Most recently, I spent two years with U.S. Acute Care Solutions (USACS), working as a Nurse Practitioner in the ER at St. Joseph Health College Station Hospital and St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, TX. For the past two years, I’ve also served as a trauma contractor here at RMC. With my USACS contract concluding on March 31, 2025, I’m thrilled to now be joining full-time and diving into this next chapter.

On a personal note, I’m a mom to an amazing 7-year-old son who is truly the center of my world. I come from a big, close-knit family—three sisters, five nieces, and one nephew—all of whom live within 15 minutes of me. I love spending time with my family and friends, playing sports (especially volleyball, softball, and golf), traveling, crafting, and organizing. I’m known for being highly organized, a bit of a perfectionist, and someone who thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environments. I value adaptability, honesty, empathy, and open communication.

Having spent the majority of my career in a rural critical access hospital, I am deeply passionate about this setting and the unique strengths and challenges it brings. I genuinely believe in treating my team like family, promoting a supportive and collaborative work environment, and always keeping the lines of communication open.

My door is always open—whether you have a question, need support, or just want to stop by and say hello. You can find me in the office shared with Medical Records. I’m excited to work alongside each of you, to support your efforts, and to contribute to the continued growth and excellence of this facility.
