Rice Medical Center & Rice Medical Associates

Rice Medical Center’s Financial Assistance programs are designed to provide free or discounted care to those who have no means, or limited means, to pay for their medical services (Uninsured or Underinsured).

Rice Medical Center will not discriminate on the basis of an individual’s race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

SLIDING FEE DISCOUNT PROGRAM

All patients seeking health care services at Rice Medical Center are assured that they will be served regardless of ability to pay. No one is refused service because of lack of financial means to pay.

Rice Medical Center offers a Sliding Fee Discount Program to ensure patients have access to all primary care services regardless of their ability to pay. Rice Medical Center will base eligibility on family size and income. The Federal Policy Guidelines, https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty, are used in creating and annually updating the sliding fee schedule (SFS) to determine eligibility.

The Sliding Fee Discount Program will only be made available for Clinic visits. The Sliding Fee Discount Program application (English and Spanish) may be obtained from the Clinics Front Desk, Hospital Business Office or printed from this link, Sliding Fee Schedule Application.

Eligibility:

  • Based solely on family size and income; and
  • At a minimum, applicable to all individuals and families with annual incomes at or below 200 percent of the most current Federal Poverty Guidelines
