    Job Description:

    RN is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, considering the age of patient.     Education/Experience:

    • Associate degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing
    • Currently licensed in the State of Texas
    • Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
    • Prefer One-year registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.

  • Paramedic PRN Day/Night Shift

    Rice Medical Center is looking for a PRN Paramedic Day and Night shift


    Job Summary:

    The paramedic in the emergency department setting is responsible for assisting the RN and Physician with patient care, carrying out delegated tasks within their scope of practice.  They are responsible for carrying out reassessments and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients following medical director protocols.  The paramedic is a licensed professional responsible for maintaining the standard of care in a holistic, family centered and individualized manner.    They are responsible for maintaining quality and cost effectiveness.   They will be expected to participate in process improvement and quality metrics.


    Qualifications:

    • Texas Paramedic licensure
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. TNCC, ITLS preferred but not required
    • Minimum 2 years full time paramedic experience
    • Strong communications skills
    • Flexible and service oriented
    • Ability to critically think in an emergency setting
    • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
    • Follow protocols written by medical director, as they pertain to medication administration, specimen collection, and any other delegated tasks
    • Document accurately in the electronic medical, maintain patient privacy, and adheres to HIPAA standards
    • Reports and documents critical values appropriately and in a timely manner
    • Assists with stabilization and continued treatment of patients in the emergency department

    Work Environment:

    Must be able to lift and/or move using proper body mechanics and agree to ask for assistance if required.  Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.  Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Must be able to work with loud voices, around patients that may require isolation, in vicinity of x-ray equipment.  Must be able to work with both cooperative and uncooperative patients.

    Surgical Scrub Tech:

    The Surgical Staff (Scrub) are allied health professionals, who are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical technologists work under the supervision and delegatory authority of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.


    Sterile Processing Tech:

    The sterile processing technician works to prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, or clean all healthcare equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures. The sterile processing technician ensures equipment, instruments and supplies can be reused safely to prevent infections. The sterile processing technician’s responsibilities include retrieving contaminated supplies and delivering sterile supplies, maintaining inventory, and preparing sterile instrument trays for surgeries, examinations, and procedures.


    Qualifications/Experience:

    • High school diploma or required equivalent.
    • 2 years of related experience preferred.
    • CST Certification preferred.

    Job Summary:

    The Radiologic Technologist is an experienced Technologist who completes a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures to include X-ray, OR, Fluoroscopy and CT exams of moderate to high complexity utilizing digital radiography and fluoroscopy techniques. A member of the direct patient care team, is fully competent in all aspects of various radiology procedures. Works independently exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures and patient care situations. Provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic procedures. Delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to radiation standards and guidelines established by radiology agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.  In addition, the position requires the individual to be in charge of the department in the absence of the Director and to be responsible for specific areas of instruction with students and ancillary personnel.  The radiology department functions are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Radiology.


    Qualifications/Education:

    • Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology Technology with a license of: 
    • American Registry of Radiology Technologist 
    • Medical Radiology Technologist
    • Associates Degree preferred
    • CPR Certification
    • Experienced preferred

    Job Summary:

    The Dietary Manager plans, organizes, and directs food production, preparation, and service for the hospital.  Establishes policies, procedures and departmental objectives. Supervise departmental personnel and all functions, including food service to the patients, staff members and the public (catering for meetings and other hospital functions) with limited help.  Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality in products produced and also responsible for a safe and sanitary work area, food handling, and storage.


    Education / Experience / Skills:

    • Two years experience in institutional supervision or a related field preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in dietary services
    • Certification or ability to obtain
    • Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all customers
    • Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communications
    • Knowledge of food service operations, ability to interact with all department managers on a continuous basis and maintains favorable relationships with outside suppliers and vendors
    • Maintains confidentiality and requires good communication skills

    Schedule:

    Average 8 hours day/ 40 hours per week. May require working overtime when needed.

    Job Summary:

    Assists the Department Director in installations and repairs.  Assists in planning, scheduling, repair work, such as refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and gardening.  Sketches plans, reads, and interprets blueprints and manufacturers specifications. May assist in computing cost for jobs for budgetary purposes.  Assists in maintaining records of all maintenance and may substitute for one of the Geri-Psych crew during emergencies and transportation of patients for the Geriatric Program.


    Qualifications:

    • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • At least five years experience in two or more building crafts, such as plumbing, electrical wiring and carpentry.

  • Behavioral Health Director - Full-Time - Eagle Lake Location

    Position Summary:

    Critical Access Lighthouse Management (CALM) is seeking an experienced LCSW or LPC to lead our Behavioral Health Services and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This position oversees clinical operations, program development, staff supervision, and quality of care for behavioral health patients. The Director also supports Swing Bed social service assessments and works closely with hospital leadership to enhance behavioral health services in our rural community.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage Behavioral Health and IOP program operations.
    • Complete assessments, provide therapy, and ensure high-quality patient care.
    • Oversee documentation, billing accuracy, and compliance.
    • Coordinate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary departments.
    • Conduct staff training, evaluations, and performance oversight.
    • Ensure Swing Bed social service assessments are completed within required timelines.
    • Serve as program liaison to hospital administration and community partners.
    • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
    • Provide clinical supervision within scope of license.

    American Registry of Radiology Technologist or Medical Radiology Technologist

    Experienced preferred 


    Schedule:

    • 3–12-hour shifts Sun, Mon & Tues or Wed, Thurs. & Friday with the schedule switching every 6 weeks

    • One Saturday shift per month, on-call
