Proceeds directly support RMC Eagle Lake, TX, efforts to overcome the obstacles faced by patients and health care providers in rural areas, which are vastly different than those in urban areas. Economic factors, cultural and social differences, educational barriers, remote isolation, and a lack of recognition by legislators often compound to create a lack of health care opportunities and impede rural Americans in their pursuit to lead a healthy life.
