  • Behavior Health Therapist – Full Time

    Rice Medical Center is a licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to provide individual, group, and family therapy in a geriatric Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role reports to the Director of Behavioral Health and focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a collaborative clinical environment.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct psychosocial assessments   and initial patient evaluations
    • Facilitate and document group therapy sessions
    • Provide therapy services per Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) and physician orders
    • Participate in treatment planning, clinical team meetings, and program development
    • Maintain timely documentation, billing, and patient safety standards


    Qualifications:

    • Licensed in Texas as LMSW, LCSW, or LPC (required)
    • Geriatric behavioral health experience preferred
    • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid a plus
    • Ability to lead an interdisciplinary team and manage program operations.
    • Excellent communication, professionalism, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Paramedic PRN Day/Night Shift

    Rice Medical Center is looking for a PRN Paramedic Day and Night shift


    Job Summary:

    The paramedic in the emergency department setting is responsible for assisting the RN and Physician with patient care, carrying out delegated tasks within their scope of practice.  They are responsible for carrying out reassessments and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients following medical director protocols.  The paramedic is a licensed professional responsible for maintaining the standard of care in a holistic, family centered and individualized manner.    They are responsible for maintaining quality and cost effectiveness.   They will be expected to participate in process improvement and quality metrics.


    Qualifications:

    • Texas Paramedic licensure
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. TNCC, ITLS preferred but not required
    • Minimum 2 years full time paramedic experience
    • Strong communications skills
    • Flexible and service oriented
    • Ability to critically think in an emergency setting
    • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
    • Follow protocols written by medical director, as they pertain to medication administration, specimen collection, and any other delegated tasks
    • Document accurately in the electronic medical, maintain patient privacy, and adheres to HIPAA standards
    • Reports and documents critical values appropriately and in a timely manner
    • Assists with stabilization and continued treatment of patients in the emergency department

    Work Environment:

    Must be able to lift and/or move using proper body mechanics and agree to ask for assistance if required.  Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.  Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Must be able to work with loud voices, around patients that may require isolation, in vicinity of x-ray equipment.  Must be able to work with both cooperative and uncooperative patients.

    Rice Medical Center is looking for a PRN Surgical Scrub Tech / Sterile Processing Tech to join our organization.


    Surgical Scrub Tech:

    The Surgical Staff (Scrub) are allied health professionals, who are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical technologists work under the supervision and delegatory authority of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.


    Sterile Processing Tech:

    The sterile processing technician works to prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, or clean all healthcare equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures. The sterile processing technician ensures equipment, instruments and supplies can be reused safely to prevent infections. The sterile processing technician’s responsibilities include retrieving contaminated supplies and delivering sterile supplies, maintaining inventory, and preparing sterile instrument trays for surgeries, examinations, and procedures.


    Qualifications/Experience:

    • High school diploma or required equivalent.
    • 2 years of related experience preferred.
    • CST Certification preferred.

    Job Description:


    The Radiologic Technologist performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray, OR, and CT exams, using digital radiography. The role requires independent judgment, advanced clinical skills, and direct patient care, assisting physicians during procedures and ensuring patient safety in compliance with radiation standards.


    This position may oversee the department in the Director’s absence, provide instruction to students and staff, and collaborate with ER staff, including performing EKGs as needed. Responsibilities align with hospital policies, the mission statement, and the Department of Radiology’s standards.


    Qualifications:


    1. Graduate of an Accredited School of   Radiology Technology with a license of:

    a. American Registry of Radiology Technologist

    b. Medical Radiology Technologist 

    2. Associates Degree preferred

    3. CPR Certification

    4. Experienced preferred

    Summary:


    Performs clinical laboratory tests, obtains and processes patient specimens, and maintains laboratory instruments and equipment. Ensures accurate test results following established protocols and safety standards.


    Qualifications:

    • Education: Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
    • Experience: Previous lab experience preferred.
    • Licensure/Certification: ASCP, AMT, ISCLT, HEW, or NCA registration preferred.
    • Skills: Knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and equipment use.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collect and process patient specimens accurately.
    • Perform routine lab tests (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank, serology).
    • Ensure quality control and validate test results.
    • Maintain lab instruments and a safe work environment.
    • Record and report results promptly, including abnormal/panic values.

    Physical Requirements:


    Moderate periods of sitting and standing; lift up to 30 lbs; must hear alarms and read labels/instructions.

    Summary:


    Rice Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide clinical and clerical support in our fast-paced Emergency Department. This position is open to certified EMTs or nursing students who have successfully completed at least one semester of clinical nursing education. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Emergency Department provider, the ED Technician assists with direct patient care, patient registration, vital signs, ECGs, specimen collection, and other department operations while helping deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care.


    Qualifications

    • Current EMT certification or enrollment in an accredited nursing program with at least one semester of bedside clinicals completed and in good standing. 
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 
    • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
    • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn electronic medical records. 
    • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Willingness to learn phlebotomy, ECGs, and point-of-care testing. 
    • Previous EMS, emergency department, or hospital experience is preferred but not required. 

    Schedule: PRN (as needed), primarily 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. shifts.

    • Analyze clinical, operational, financial, and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
    • Create dashboards and reports for key metrics such as swing bed utilization, length of stay, readmissions, patient satisfaction, revenue cycle performance, and service line profitability.
    • Support Medicare cost reporting, reimbursement analysis, 340B optimization, and value-based care initiatives.
    • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and assist with grant-funded projects.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Public Health, or a related field required.
    • Three (3) years of experience in healthcare analytics, project management, finance, quality improvement, or healthcare operations preferred.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and healthcare reporting systems.
    • Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare setting preferred.
